We are currently seeking a System Engineer I to join our Next Generation Avionics - Honeywell Anthem team in our Brno office. Reporting to the Engineering Manager.
You will be responsible for Flight Controls development and testing - especially in the areas of Automatic FCS - Flight Guidance, Autopilot, Maintenance or new AFCS Servo development but also you may take part in General Aviation product line development. The final product will be serving to customers not only in Business, Regional but also Urban Air Mobility and General aviation segments. There is an opportunity for you to grow alongside the new product development and experienced team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Flight Controls Servo, Flight Guidance, Autopilot, Virtual Guidance Panel or Maintenance Systems design
- Requirement analysis and decomposition
- Model based development
- Systems integration
- Systems validation & verification
- Flight Test support e.g., on local Bonanza test plane
- Work with other systems/software engineers during developing and integrating solutions for Honeywell Anthem product as well as for Honeywell customers
- Respect and follow all requirements of other internal Honeywell procedures and processes which influence stated working activities
- Collaboration with domestic and international teams and customers including possible ground or flight test activities
- Actively support Internal and External Audits
Key Experience & Capabilities:
- BS/MS in Electrical Engineering/Controls Systems/Aeronautical Studies
- Skilled in MATLAB/Simulink
- Fluent English (B2-C1) - ability to read technical documentation

- Knowledge of DO-178B/C is a plus
- Knowledge of C or any scripting language (e.g., Python) is a plus

- Excellent communication skills

- Must meet any applicable Export License conditions in terms of nationality for the given project.
