Sustainability Program Manager

For our cross-functional Global Sustainability team, we are looking for an experienced Program Manager. The Sustainability Program Manager is a global role responsible for managing the planning and overseeing the execution of Garrett’s Sustainability strategy initiatives across Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) topics.
**Role & Responsibility**
- Work along the Global Sustainability Core team to manage the planning, execution and tracking of all Garrett’s Sustainability strategy initiatives.
- Drive clarity and alignment across all Sustainability goals and long-term strategic priorities enabling a smooth and coordinated engagement across functions.
- Prepare regular strategy updates for senior management.
- Identify, articulate and mitigate risks.
- Support Sustainability Director to capture topics which are closely connected to existing initiatives and goals, and new emerging sustainability topics and translate them, with input from key stakeholders, into measurable operational and sustainability benefits and objectives.
- Oversee delivery of external reporting activities by engaging content owners, tracking progress/milestones and delivery by deadlines.
- Support with successful embedding of approved new initiatives in a pragmatic way with key stakeholders.
- This position will work with multiple stakeholders in different functions (supply chain, sales, marketing, HR, legal etc.) and in all geographies.
**Job Requirement**
- Education: University master’s degree
- Work experience: 10+ years of experience is nice to have
- Required work experience in field of expertise: Proven track record of seamlessly working across complex organizations and functions. Excellent project management and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects, and deadlines simultaneously.
- Other preferred fields of expertise: Well versed and experienced in sustainability best practices, managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes
- Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to build teamwork and trust.
- Positive attitude and willingness to embrace change.
- Financial acumen
- Leads collaboratively and with success in a cross-functional environment
- Shows clear coordination skills and ability to synthesize input from several stakeholders
- Self-starting team-player with strong engagement and influencing skills
- Anticipating and appreciating the varying needs of all parties invested in outcome.
