For our client, a global engineering company, we are currently seeking a passionate and skilled **Supply Chain Risk Management Expert - EMEA** to proactively steer the course of semiconductor / electronic components availability for our client and their sub-suppliers. **About the job**:
- Analyze, evaluate, and monitor potential risks associated with semiconductor / electronic components availability through proactive risk management.
- Utilize and maintain cutting-edge digital semiconductor / electronic components database tool to ensure comprehensive coverage.
- Collaborate closely with suppliers to guarantee semiconductor / electronic components availability.
- Play a key role in formulating a long-term semiconductor strategy for electronic components, collaborating with purchasing, R&D, and suppliers to bring it to life.
- Support immediate risk mitigation, conduct RFQs and resolve short-term delivery bottlenecks to avoid material shortages.
- Pursue goals for savings and cost avoidance in ad-hoc semiconductor / electronic components situations.
**Requirements for the position**:
- Experience in strategic purchasing or in the supply chain of electronic/electronical components
- Degree in an economic/technical field
- Strong analytical skills
- Very good English skills (second language is an advantage)
