Sr. Site Reliability Engineer

**Position characteristics**:

**What will you do here?**:
- Run the production environment by monitoring availability and taking a holistic view of system health
- Improve reliability, quality, and time-to-market of our suite of software solutions
**Responsibilities**:
- Analyse and fine tune systems to ensure best performance, Taking a proactive approach to spotting problems, areas for improvement, and performance bottlenecks
- With the wider SRE and AO team accepts responsibility for the operational performance of allocated systems.
- Lead and mentor other SREs and help grow internal knowledge and skill of team and wider AO department in the dicipline of SRE
- Partner with development teams to improve services through rigorous testing and release procedures
- Take an active role and participate in system design consulting, platform management, and capacity planning to promote and ensure required observability and ease of future operations.
- Create sustainable systems and services through automation, uplifts, smart alerting and similar
- Balance feature development speed and reliability with well-defined service level objectives
- Due to the 24/7 operations role is part of the work on calls, over time and emergency.
**Characteristics**:
- Domain skills
- Experience with container management platforms (Kubernetes), ideally operated in cloud environments (AWS)
- Familiar with CICD principles and tools, Experience with autmation and infrastrucutre as code (Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, Azure Pipelines and similar)
- Aquanted with DevOps methodology
- Programming fundamentals with one or more high level languages (Java, JavaScript, Python) considered as an advantage
- People skills
- Tendancy toward team leadership and ability to mentor / lead other SREs
- Good relationship with stakeholders having the ability to negotiate and build consensus
- Excellent communicator with stakeholders, customers and the development team
