Sr Automation & Controls Engineer

Within this role, you’ll operate on-site at a Nuclear Power plant to renovate control systems across their full development, from the designing and planning phases through to configuration and implementation. You’ll have the opportunity to use the full breadth of your expertise by diagnosing outdated processes and systems, leveraging digital technologies and collaborate with team members to execute complex projects. Your focus will be achieving high levels of customer satisfaction.- Other responsibilities include:_
- Liaising with operators and field maintenance teams
- Supporting system engineering and integration
- Assisting unit and system testing
- Designing comprehensive technical solutions
- Completing all relevant documentation
- Driving continuous improvements
**The requirements**
- You’ll have extensive (7+ years’) experience as a control systems engineer, working on assignments in Nuclear, Fossil, and other applicable fields. Other requirements include:_
- Masters certification in a relevant Engineering discipline (ideally Control and Instrumentation Engineering)
- Track record of solving complex engineering problems to budget
- Experience of engineering techniques including DCSs, PLCs and HMIs in a nuclear environment
- Experience with Control and Graphic builders
- Background of designing and analysing I&C systems
- Outstanding information gathering and problem-solving skills
- Able to interpret and communicate technical information
- Driven team player who can attend to both global and local teams
- Fluent in English and Czechia or Russian
- Detail-oriented, analytical, and curious
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Able to travel up to 25%, when required
- This is a hybrid role requiring regular travel on-site in Prague, Czech Republic._
