Software Security Engineer

The Software Security team is a group of Builders, Breakers, and Fixers that specialize in collaborative security engagement. Our goal is to provide self-service security. The team is focused on enabling the 3 Ways of DevOps: Fast Flow, Rapid Feedback, and Continuous Learning. Join us!
**What will be your primary responsibilities?**:
- You will be responsible for realizing the initiatives set by the Regional Manager of Software Security
- Collaborate with product teams on Software Security tools, security scans and architectural reviews, vulnerability management, and state-of the art development practices
- Lead security tool evaluations and Proofs of Concept to make defensible recommendations on tool acquisition, integration and maintenance plans
- Collaborate with other Product and Software Security and Secure Technology and Operations teams to improve the flow of work and customer experience within our organization
- Develop and promote automated scanning tools and practices throughout the organization
- Work with colleagues to understand identified vulnerabilities and recommend general practices and/or training to guide remediation efforts
- Develop performance indicators and reporting from aggregated sources to assist Software Security Management in building a picture of the current state of risk within the company
**What do you need to be successful on the role?**:
- Bachelor in Engineering/Computer Science or Master degree or equivalent with proven experience
- Familiarity with one or more of the following languages: C/C++, Java,.NET, JavaScript, Python, Bash, PowerShell and/or Ruby
- Knowledge of at least one development tool such as: Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code, Eclipse, IntelliJ, Git, Jira, Jenkins, and/or Docker
- Strong attention to detail, with solid organizational and time management skills
- The ability to interact with a diverse group of people and management, including Vice Presidents, Directors, Managers, Developers and Domain Experts
- Proficient written and verbal communication in English language
**We will be excited if you also have**:
- Software development experience with innovative practices, such as Test Driven Development, and Domain Driven Design
- History of engaging in general information security practice and/or the community
