TITLE: Software Engineer - Aloha Cloud
LOCATION: Prague, Czech Republic
Position Summary & Key Areas of Responsibility
Essential Functions:
- Provides estimates of work based on knowledge and experience in a given work area.
- Writes product specifications, designs, and technical manuals.
- Plans and implements testing strategies for different areas of our products internally and externally.
- Ensures interoperability with third party products, operating systems, and existing software.
- Acts as a mentor of newly hired engineers.
- Maintains responsibility of assigned tasks by using experience and knowledge of environment to make development decisions
Secondary Functions:
- Provides technical and non-technical presentations on the impact of changes to the solution.
Team Specifics:
The Aloha Cloud team works on NCR Voyixs Point of Sale product that enables restaurant staff to service customers at their table with an online connection to the cloud back office, improving ordering precision and speed of service while reducing operation costs. The solution includes a C#.NET backend and front-end targeting modern smartphone platforms: Google Android and Apple iOS. Another part of the team’s responsibility is the back office and kitchen systems. Platforms: mainly C#, TypeScript and Angular.
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- Good C# experience
- Java and C++ are considered as a plus
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Strong Object-Oriented analysis and design skills
- English language written/spoken at B2 or higher level (CEFR)
Additional skills
- Good TypeScript/JavaScript knowledge together with Angular or willing to learn
- Experience with the Docker is an advantage
- Experience with development tools - Visual Studio or similar, Android Studio
- Experience with agile development
Additional requirements
- EU work and residence permit
