FAIVELEY TRANSPORT CZECH a.s., is the part of the Wabtec Corporation, which after merging with the French company Faiveley Transport in 2016 and the american company GE Transportation in 2019 became the largest manufacturer of components for the railway and transit industry in the world. We are proud to deliver products for major transportation projects worldwide as pantographs, electro -mechanical switches, couplers, brakes, trolleybus collectors and others.
How will you make a difference?
- Assists managing director and senior staff members in the development and deployment of long and short-term planning, policies, programs, objectives and company strategy with an increased focus on quality.
- Responsible to coordinate the interactions between functions on the site from the quality point of view: Operations, support Product Lines’ Functions and Services Region functions.
- Responsible to build execute the quality site budget (Directly for Operations perimeter, Indirectly for Functional reports).
- Responsible for Safety on the site together with Managing Director.
- In coordination with Product line, ensure the claims from customers (external & Wabtec internal) are handled with the proper reactivity respecting QRQC as well as ensure the implementation of preventing actions to collect learning from past experiences and its integration inside the applicable local Site standards.
- Manage Claims (from 0Km & Warranty) directly for operation scope and with support of PQE for Customer.
- Manage Quality Indicators.
- Develop, coordinate, and communicate the site Quality Improvement plan - Rad map following guidelines from Regions/Transit/Corporate.
- Ensure that Quality Management System is periodically audited and align with Wabtec Standards as well as Customer requirements (i.e.Internal, Customer Audits, IRIS, DB).
- Follow up the Quality of major product/process changes within the sites.
- Represent Customer on Quality matters (Communication / Escalation) > “voice of customer” inside the plant.
- Manage the Quality in operations: inspection controls, supplier quality (SQA/SQE) and Production Quality in order to secure the production.
- Ensure that control plans are applied and maintained by Operations and Incoming Inspection (focus on safety / critical characteristics).
- Ensure that workplace audits are performed in order to prepare internal FAI or customer FAI.
- Facilitate the C-FAI organization and all customer visits at site from the quality point of view.
What do we want to know about you?
- 5+ years in managerial positions in quality field
- Experience in leading a large team of 30+
- Experience working in international corporations (matrix organizations)
- Excellent ability to lead and motivate a team
- Technical education is prefered
- Knowledge of methodology, quality processes and quality tools (Kaizen/FMEA, 8D report, Fishbone, 5Why, 6S...)
- English, Czech language - fluent, German is advantage
- Analytical way of thinking and problem solving attitude
