Service Desk - IT Support

Role Summary
Manages the activities and personnel associated with providing technical services for computer hardware or networked systems to internal customers. Identifies, prioritizes and resolves reported problems utilizing internal employees or outsourced service providers. Specializes in providing technical services to internal customers by identifying, prioritizing, and confirming resolution of reported problems with desktop, laptop, and networked systems. Ensures that installations, software, hardware, operating systems and configuration issues are properly addressed, monitored and resolved.
Key Responsibilities
Installation:
- Supply and installation of new laptops.
- Rebuild laptops.
- Install and set a printer (or other PC peripheral)
- Install software
Move:
- Moving a PC or peripheral from one location to another.
Change:
- Adding a device to a laptop e.g. memory, SSD.
- Removing kit no longer required - either to store or to disposal agent.
- Re-asset tag and report to Service Desk.
- Simple LAN cable fixes, patching
- Disposal of outdated equipment in compliance with all statutory disposal requirements, this includes data wiping if requested.
- Inventory tracking and documentation updates
- Work with 3rd parties were selected by Mavenir;
- Participate on team meetings.
- Maintain positive relationship with clients (internal or external), the remainder of the IT team and 3rd parties.
- OS Windows - administration, troubleshooting
- Office365 basic administration
Job Requirements
- Intermediate IT knowledge (IT school is a plus)
- Problem solving skills
- Desire to learn and discover IT fields
- Team player but self-reliant IT enthusiast
