Senior QA Automation Engineer
For a global technology leader built on 50 years of innovation, collaboration and engineering excellence, we are looking for a seasoned, experienced IT professional with a full understanding of the area of specialization who resolves a wide range of issues in creative ways.
**JOB OVERVIEW**:
We are seeking an experienced QA Automation Engineer for one of our successful products. This is an individual contributor role, with opportunity to grow into a technical specialist in all areas of QA automation. Focus on test plan and test development for highly scalable, high-reliability software and services in a business-critical enterprise environment.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Implement an effective test automation framework for one or more product components
- Analyze and translate business requirements, existing manual test cases for automation.
- Design and create automation scripts to test feature functionality. Leverage automation scripts for future regression testing using automation tools.
- Continuously improve testing process
- Integrate Automation approach within CI/CD pipeline
- Perform test execution and capture test results for overall reporting needs.
- Identify and track system defects. Perform root cause analysis and work with the overall project team to resolve them.
- Complete verification and validation of defects and testing activities
**REQUIREMENTS**:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or global equivalent. Masters degree a plus.
- Ideally 5+ years in an industry related role focused on QA automation.
- SDLC and Agile principles and methodologies.
- Understanding of SW development practices, Version control, documentation, code reviews, defect tracking, etc.
- Previous programming or scripting experience. Ideally focused on Java.
- Knowledge of QA automation tools like Selenium, TestNG, Robot, SoapUI, TestComplete, BlazeMeter.
- Experience with tools such as Jenkins, Protractor, Cucumber and Galen.
