CONCAPE is a specialized personnel consulting firm. We are managing a vacancy for a world-leading production company based in SWITZERLAND active in E-Mobility, electronic devices, and groundbreaking new technologies.
Job Location and Details
- Location: Rheintal, Canton of St. Gallen, Switzerland (near Lake Constance)
- Workload: 100%
- Home Office: 2 days per week
**Position**: Senior Global Category Manager
- Responsibilities include conceptualizing and executing global sourcing strategies in a high-tech environment.
- The categories cover Steel + Mechanics.
Tasks
Verantwortlichkeiten
- Assessing competitive "best cost" procurement markets and partners for Steel + Mechanics actuators and components.
- Developing and executing Global Sourcing strategies for assigned direct categories (locations in Switzerland, Eastern Europe, Asia).
- Acting as a sparring partner and change agent for internal stakeholders in procurement categories, identifying early trends and action fields.
- Continuously monitoring the performance of material costs and supplier base regarding cost reduction, quality, delivery capability, and risk analysis.
- International price negotiations, shaping purchasing conditions, and contracts for production materials.
- Analyzing and optimizing existing purchasing processes in collaboration with internal stakeholders and managing the reporting system to ensure compliance with purchasing and business objectives.
**Requirements**:
**Talente und Erfahrungen welche Sie idealerweise mitbringen**:
- Significant professional experience in strategic purchasing (+5-10 years).
- Ideally, experience in developing structures & processes in an international environment.
- Experience in global matrix organizations is desirable.
- Business-level English proficiency.
- Enjoyment in the development, design, and structuring of processes in strategic purchasing.
