Your role
What youll be doing
What the role is about:
- Accurate month-end close by ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial transactions in accordance with local & US GAAP/IFRS standards
- Accurate and timely completion of all general ledger reconciliations, that all items are adequately supported, and that unreconciled items are cleared within the quarter
- Participate in the continuous improvement program

Your key accountabilities will include:
- Ensure accurate and timely month-end close for EUF companies, including:
- reconciliation of bank accounts
- posting month-end accounting journals
- posting recharges of corporate costs to other entities within the FLEETCOR group.
- reconciliation of intercompany charges
- complete balance sheet reconciliations within the timeline and reconciling items are addressed and cleared on a timely basis
- other ad hoc tasks as required, with a particular focus on improving processes and systems
- Support any internal and external audits audit queries
- Participate in business continuity, risk management, and continuous improvement plans
- Support the team in achieving Accounting targets
- Stay updated with relevant accounting standards, and regulations.
What do you need to succeed?
- School/University studies in Accounting
- Approximately 5 years of relevant accounting experience obtained in a large complex organization.
- Good knowledge of the fundamentals of accounting
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Good in English (written and oral)
- Meticulous and strong attention to detail
- Deadline-oriented, good time management skills
- Flexible, quick learner, positive ‘can do’ attitude.
This will give you an additional advantage
- Knowledge of process and systems improvements
- Knowledge of EU VAT
- Knowledge of US GAAP
