Mainframe Resource Intelligence (MRI) provides customers with an in-depth view of their mainframe environments, helping assess security, best practices and performance. MRI provides insights and actionable recommendations about security, automation and performance that help guide and improve business results.
MRI also serves as a platform, leveraged by many Broadcom mainframe product teams to provide unique product specific intelligence and reports to our customers.
We are looking for a passionate and professional Senior DevOps engineer who will help us deliver our vision for re-architecting MRI on Google Cloud to make best use of available services.
What you will do
You will operate MRI on Google Cloud, using Google services and a number of Google Cloud Marketplace offerings such as Confluent Kafka, and Neo4j Aura.
You will manage our Kubernetes clusters, and help us migrate to the next generation serverless architecture that uses Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, Workflows, Eventarc, and other Google Services.
You will contribute to the development of the future MRI technical vision and the engineering roadmap.
What you will bring- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field.- 3+ years of working experience as a Software Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or similar.- 3+ years of professional experience with Google Cloud, Kubernetes, Helm, Terraform, Docker, and Docker Compose.- 3+ years of professional experience with Linux and Shell scripting.- 3+ years experience with Go, JavaScript, TypeScript or other programming languages.- 3+ years of experience working in an Agile environment.- In depth understanding of modern CI / CD, and Cloud Native best practices.- Passion for learning and helping others in a team environment.
Nice to have- Expert Linux knowledge and troubleshooting skills.- Experience with serverless environments.- Experience with tools such as Jenkins, Drone.io, or Dagger.- Familiarity with the Java / JVM ecosystem.- Familiarity with the JavaScript / TypeScript / Node.js ecosystem.- Experience using Visual Studio Code professionally.

This position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in accordance with the relevant plan documents and equity in accordance with equity award agreements.
