We are currently in search of a PLM/BOM Engineer to take on the responsibility of implementing and maintaining PLM systems. This position entails ensuring accurate BOM creation and management, collaborating with cross-functional teams, optimizing the product development process, and maintaining effective communication with customers. Your crucial contributions will involve ensuring the accuracy of product data, managing version control, and promoting efficient collaboration across various departments throughout the product development lifecycle.
**Responsibilities**:
- Review and generate part numbers in the plant ERP system.
- Develop bills of materials for various stages, including development, prototype, and production.
- Maintain data integrity for parts and bills of materials.Facilitate communication with customers regarding color parts and color codes.
- Align customer demand with ERP part numbers.
- Document technical changes across different systems and media.
- Provide support to the Engineering department, Program Management, and Purchasing in utilizing the plant ERP system.
- Assist plants in implementing changes and generating reports.
**Requirements**:
- Possess a completed technical education.
- Familiarity with the production process in automotive interiors is advantageous.
- Solid product knowledge in automotive interiors.
- Communicative proficiency in the German language (English proficiency is a plus).
- Knowledge of ERP plant programs (PLM, QAD, SAP) is advantageous.
- Demonstrates reliability with an analytical and structured approach to work.
- Strong team player.
