Procurement Consultant
**Background**:
**Job Summary**
This role is an autonomous team addition within procurement which needs a good understanding of market, networking and supply chain and wants to be involved in the operation.
**Key Responsibilities**:
Data Collection and Analysis:
- Assist in gathering and compiling procurement data.
- Conduct preliminary analysis of spending patterns and trends.
- Support in preparing reports and presentations based on data analysis.
Supplier Research and Evaluation:
- Conduct research to identify potential suppliers.
- Assist in evaluating supplier performance and capabilities.
- Support in maintaining supplier databases and records.
Administrative Support:
- Provide administrative support for procurement activities, such as scheduling meetings and preparing documents.
- Assist in managing procurement documentation and records.
Contract Management:
- Help in drafting and reviewing contracts and agreements.
- Monitor contract performance and compliance.
- Support in the negotiation process by gathering relevant information and preparing documents.
Process Improvement Support:
- Assist in identifying areas for process improvement.
- Support the implementation of best practices and new procurement processes.
Communication and Coordination:
- Facilitate communication between the procurement team and other departments.
- Coordinate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth procurement operations.
Technology Utilization:
- Utilize procurement software and tools to support procurement activities.
- Assist in maintaining and updating procurement systems.
Training and Development:
- Participate in training sessions to develop procurement skills and knowledge.
- Assist in organizing and delivering training programs for other team members.
Reporting and Documentation:
- Prepare regular reports on procurement activities and performance.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date procurement documentation and records.
Support in Cost Reduction Initiatives:
- Assist in identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Support the implementation of cost-saving initiatives and track their progress.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Basic analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Familiarity with procurement processes and tools is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Eagerness to learn and develop new skills in procurement.
Background:
- Experience as a Procurement Manager F&B in the cruise sector
- Excellent verbal and written communication and negotiation skills
- English - Excellent skills written and oral (other language such as German, Norwegian and others are additional benefit for this role)
