Our ambition? Provide automakers with cutting-edge equipment and solutions to develop tomorrow’s clean and connected car.- The role of **Mechanics Engineer** is based in our Lighting division in **Nový Jičín next to Ostrava**.**Responsibilities**:
- Mechanical Engineer is a member of a cross-functional project team. As a team member he/she is responsible in terms of his/her specialization for fulfillment of project objectives.
- Develops mechanical concepts for innovative products with regards to feasibility, costs and lifespan.
- Performs 3D CAD design following company and customers standards and specific customer requirements, legal requirements and CAE simulations.
- Prepares and performs presentations to customers and suppliers. Actively negotiates about solutions proposed to customers/suppliers with respect to interests and requirements of Plastic Omnium.
- Responsible to develop technical solution without infringing of existing non-PO Intellectual properties.
- Ensures technical tasks related to thermal, electronics, materials & technology, structural analysis and programming topics according to needs.
**Requirements**:
- University degree in machinery or mechanical Engineering/Physics/Electronics
- Experience in automotive lighting electronics design is an advantage
- Experience with leading projects
- Knowledge of Catia
- Knowledge of English language (B1, B2)
- Knowledge of MS Office
- Driving License B
