Linux Infrastructure Engineer

About the role:
This role is technical in nature and is responsible for providing high quality and timely IT infrastructure support to ensure the availability, stability and performance the FNZ datacentres, platforms and corporate systems.
- Administration of several Linux distros, predominantly Ubuntu, RHEL, OEL.
- New deployments, ongoing maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Backup, Replication, HA and Recovery technologies.
- Sound understanding of Networking principals.
- Security Technologies, content filtering, privileged access.
- AWS, Azure and various cloud provider services.
- File and data transfer, bash, perl & python scripting.
Main Requirements:
- Degree qualified or equivalent industry certifications.
- Knowledge of Splunk, Nagios or other monitoring tools would be advantageous.
- General infrastructure engineering skills and knowledge of both Linux and Microsoft Server.
- Knowledge of Automation scripting. Such as Terraform/ansible.
- General vSphere knowledge desirable.
- Proven experience delivering Project and BAU support/maintenance in a fast-paced environment supporting highly-available, large-scale, distributed enterprise infrastructure services across Europe.
- Good team player with the ability to work independently and able to take initiative, drive change and new technologies and methodologies.
- Superior problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent time-management skills
- Excellent team communication skills, confident in dealing with internal and external clients.
