Lead Sound Designer
Responsible for delivering audio to all company projects in the best quality possible
- Audio leadership and work distribution, especially for projects in the Arma and DayZ franchises
- Leading and managing the audio team, bringing drive and inspiration, encouraging creativity, support, developing skills, collaborative approach, motivated to achieve great results
- Defining and organizing work for the audio team; distribution of responsibilities
- Defining and upholding visions of audio in company projects
- Cooperating with other departments on common goals for specific projects
- Maintaining a friendly, creative, and inspiring work environment for the team
- Communicating with 3rd parties (composers, voice talent, sound designers, etc.), establishing new work relationships, defining conditions and terms, onboarding new people
- Evaluating and QA testing audio team assets and feature productions; providing guidance and feedback on audio quality, consistency, and implementation
- Learning and expanding knowledge in the video game audio industry
- Working on dedicated audio aspects of specific titles
- Creating and maintaining documentation; tracking the progress of the audio team’s work
- 5+ years of experience working in the video game industry
- Experience with leading people
- Senior role on at least 2 AA+ titles
- Proficiency level of sound design skills using standard audio software (DAWs, Waves, Izotope, Native Instruments, etc.)
- Good understanding of standard commercial sound resources (Boom libraries, Sonnis, Pole Position, etc.)
- Advanced experience with industry standard game engines (Unreal, Unity, etc.)
- Strong knowledge and experience with audio gear (microphones, recorders, etc.); knowing best practices; recording (studio, voice overs, foley, field recording, etc.)
- Good knowledge of data versioning maintenance software (Svn - Tortoise, Perforce, etc.)
- Substantial experience with standard audio processing procedures (sound design, editing, mixing, mastering, implementation)
- Solid experience with office SWs and work organization SWs (Atlassian, Confluence, Jira, etc.)
- High level of self-organization and self-motivation
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- English language: advanced level (C1)
**Welcomed qualifications**
- Education in audio or related technical field (sound design, audio engineering, audio signal processing, etc.)
- Programming/scripting/visual scripting
- Audio middleware experience (Wwise, FMod)
- Console development experience (Xbox, PS)
- Previous experience as Audio Lead
- Previous experience with Bohemia Interactive games (especially Arma)
- 27 days of holidays per year
