Antal International is currently seeking a talented** Lead Environment** **Artist** for an exciting new project. We are looking for someone with a profound understanding of implementing environment art in game development, particularly within Unreal Engine.
Our client is an innovative company eager to expand their team with individuals who are ready to embark on new adventures in Unreal Engine 5! They recently released AAA Heist FPS in Unreal 5, aiming to become the worldwide IP for the genre. They will keep working on it and on a new unannounced IP.
WHAT DOES THE JOB ENTAIL?
As the Lead Environment Artist, your primary responsibility will be to create captivating environments that prioritize both engaging gameplay and stunning visuals. Your tasks will include:
- Leading the development and creation of high-quality AAA environments and locations, defining ideas, plans, and tasks for locations/levels and executing them based on general guidelines, processes, and procedures.
- Supervising the work of the EA team in terms of visual arts to ensure the quality of art and task implementation.
- Finalizing environments based on provided design.
- Utilizing next-gen technology in the latest Unreal Engine.
- Collaborating with level designers, 3D artists, and outsource teams.
- Setting up art placeholders and meticulously documenting them in asset requirement lists.
WHO IS AN IDEAL FIT?
- 2+ years of experience as a Lead Environment Artist or 4+ years as a Senior Environment Artist in AAA projects.
- Extensive knowledge of environment art, lighting, optimization, and asset pipeline creation.
- Experience in leading a team of artists.
- A passion for games and a profound understanding of the gaming industry from the players perspective.
- Proficiency in at least one game engine such as Unreal Engine, Unity, CryEngine, or similar.
- A highly creative mindset, strong teamwork skills, and a diligent work ethic.
- Strong spoken and written English skills.
