SOTIO is a mid-sized biotech company developing novel protein-based anti-cancer therapies. The Biologics Core Technologies (BCT) group is at the heart of SOTIO research and development across multiple projects and drug modalities, which enables us to make a direct impact on drug candidate selection. We are responsible for molecular design of drug candidates, supply of high-quality research material, stability testing, and characterization of our molecules to understand the relationship between structure and function. Position Summary:

We are looking for an individual to expand our team of the BCT lab. In the role you will independently perform analytical testing to ensure the integrity of molecules used across the whole preclinical department, support general lab operation and will have the opportunity to participate in various studies contributing to development of novel cancer therapeutics. The analytical methods include but are not limited to reversed and normal phase UPLC, CE, SDS-PAGE and UV-Vis spectroscopy. Depending on your experience, you will also be involved in the development of new analytical methods.

Key Activities and Responsibilities:

• Autonomously analyze integrity of protein-based molecules used in preclinical development using a variety of analytical methods

• Under scientists’ supervision, design and perform non-routine experiments and studies supporting method development or preclinical development of various therapeutics

• Design studies, document executed experiments in electronic lab book, write protocols and SOPs (in English language)

• Present results in team meetings to enable high quality decision making

• Assume responsibility for daily lab operations (stocking of materials, buffer preparation, instruments maintenance)

Competences, Skills and Qualification:

• Master’s degree in biochemistry/biotechnology/pharmaceutical science or similar field

• Hands-on experience in protein characterization by SDS-PAGE, CE, HPLC and/or UV/Vis spectrophotometry

• Proficient language skills in written and oral English (at least B2 level)

• Solid skills in use of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)

• Great organizational skills, structured way of working

• Ability to work in a team and willingness to assume responsibility for successful completion of tasks

• First pharmaceutical industry experience and/or experience in working with antibodies is beneficial, although not required
