This role will be validate, and develop projects business cases, based in new and innovative technologies, particularly CO2 Storage, Hydro Storage and Hydrogen. Identify, based on the technologies assessment, suitable sites and technological partners. Lead the process of identifying and securing suitable sites. Follow up on other innovative technologies development suitable SOLEK long term strategic ambitions.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Develop a solid technical and economical understanding of innovative technologies landscape particularly regarding Energy Storage (CO2, Air, Hydro, etc), new energy vectors (H2) and new renewable generation technologies.
- Develop and propose new business cases based on the selected technologies and their maturity.
- Identify, negotiate and propose suitable sites for new projects.
- Gather market intelligence through maintaining a network of industry contacts.
- Define the Development Road Map for the projects & opportunities identified.
- Monitor and assess opportunities and establish priority strategic objectives.
- Development of the new technologies business case, providing industry insights, key information on costs, industry best practices, etc.
- Attend industry events, engage with key stakeholders at local and national level.
- Engage with stakeholders (national and local authorities, opinion leaders, collectivities, industry representatives, etc) to ensure support of the projects.
**ORIGINATION**:
- Identify the most promising, mature and suitable technologies.
- Identify, select and manage technological partners and potential clients.
- Advising and sourcing local data/information to guide the technical assessments.
- Develop a solid technical understanding of each of the technologies.
- Identify the key challenges from a technical, development and construction point of view.
- Site identification, evaluation, and selection, site technical assessment.
- Work with brokers, consultants, service providers to identify potential locations.
- Establish and manage relationships with key project stakeholders, negotiating and agreeing key terms of partnership agreements.
- Manage the relationship with landowners.
**PROJECT MANAGEMENT**:
- Use good industry practice tools and development process.
- Prepare, submit and get approved individual Project Development plans and budgets.
- Identify, select and manage third party development contractors and consultants.
- Ensure project compliance with local regulations and company policy.
- Maintain the overall project schedule with timely deliverables and budget control.
- Report progress, track key risks/issues and maintain a project technical execution plan.
**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Experience in innovative projects.
- Project Management experience is a plus

- Ability to collect market data and provide long term strategic recommendations.
- Team spirit, autonomy and ability to work in a dynamic environment.
- Effective communication skills, both written and oral, with a variety of stakeholders.
- Possess a valid driver’s license with the ability to travel on a regular basis.
- Advanced interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
- Positive attitude, problem solving mindset and team-work spirit.
- Ability to communicate professionally in English (we have English as a working language in our company).
