Infrastructure Engineer
About the role:
This role is technical in nature and is responsible for providing high quality and timely IT infrastructure support to ensure the availability, stability and performance the FNZ data cenres, platforms and corporate systems.
- Windows and Linux Server management
- SAN and storage array management
- Very large VMware vSphere infrastructure
- Backup, Replication, HA and Recovery technologies
- Sound understanding of Networking principals.
- Security Technologies, content filtering, privileged access
- HPE Server hardware installation and support & maintenance.
- Azure services
- File and data transfer, batch scripting, PowerShell & Terraform capabilities.
Main Requirements:
- Degree qualified or equivalent industry certifications.
- Knowledge of Splunk, Nagios or other monitoring tools would be advantageous.
- General infrastructure engineering skills and knowledge of Linux and Microsoft Server.
- Knowledge of Automation scripting in PowerShell and/or Terraform an advantage.
- F5 technology experience highly regarded.
- Keen interest in and knowledge of latest server, storage and networking technologies.
- Proven experience delivering Project and BAU support/maintenance in a fast-paced environment supporting highly-available, large-scale, distributed enterprise infrastructure services across Europe.
- Good team player with the ability to work independently and able to take initiative, drive change and new technologies and methodologies.
- Superior problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent time-management skills
- Excellent team communication skills, confident in dealing with internal and external clients.
