Job Overview
(COMPANY NAME)s Strategic Sourcing Teams develop and implement multi-year strategies for assigned commodities, suppliers and parts/services to achieve established goals in supplier quality, delivery, price and service. They align strategy and execution with cross-functional partners such as engineering, manufacturing, product management and functional owners. They execute the competitive bid, negotiation, contracting processes and/or technical continuous improvement for assigned commodities or services; collaborate across Business Units and cross-regions for optimal TE leverage. Our teams demonstrate a high level of expertise in procurement competencies (business/supply chain acumen, negotiation, sourcing strategy development and execution, global savvy, and project and product lifecycle management) and ensure results are delivered compliant with TE policies and procedures.
Temporary job position - replacement agreement
Key Responsibilities:
- Solve escalations from operations, supply chain, and suppliers.
- Support the Regional supply base strategy for Equipment and (technical) Services.
- Generate and negotiate technical saving projects in cooperation with the technical departments.
- Negotiate local contracts and manage compliance.
- Identify and ramp-up competitive new suppliers.
- Conduct cost structure analysis and control quotes in relation to total cost.
- Ensure adherence to TE policies and ensure data accuracy.
- Ensure timely resolution of all operational procurement tasks, including awarding, system data maintenance, and negotiation of contractual agreements.
- Drive complex ad hoc queries and work autonomously on assigned projects.
- Responsible for negotiations with all relevant suppliers.
- Control and ensure the defined capacity with the relevant suppliers, under close cooperation with relevant internal departments.
- Work on process improvements and update or create the required documentation.
What your background should look like:
- Educational Degree: Bachelors degree in Economics or Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
- Professional Experience: 2 years of experience in procurement.
- Special Qualifications, Knowledge & Skills:
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Czech Language. German is a plus.
- Advanced SAP knowledge.
