**Your**
**responsibilities**
**- The primary responsibility of this role is to serve as a partner to the Finance leadership team and the Exec Directors within the company and provide guidance and support for financial and business-related decision-making.
- You will provide financial insight and analysis on Head Office costs as well develop periodic forecasts, and annual budgets. You will also identify risks and opportunities to drive business performance and support decision making to ensure we are driving the best value for our money. You will also liaise with Country Directors to ensure you have a good understanding of overhead costs across each country to support decision making.**What we expect from you**
- Be the Business Partner for the Leadership team all costs relating to Skillz.
- Provide In depth analysis of cost centres for actual vs budget / latest forecast. Work with the Exec directors and their teams identify and explain variances. Ensure summaries are provided for the WBR and MBRs clearly identifying risks and opportunities
- Deep dive into specific areas of interest on costs e.g. Travel and Expense reporting by Exec area, Discretionary vs. Non Discretionary costs
- Own the financial modelling required to understand impact of pay reviews (across all markets) and ensure that procurement savings plans are linked to non labour budgets
- Be a gatekeeper for all Purchase orders and invoice payments required for Skillz, ensuring any requests for approvals are properly budgeted for, and highlight any unaccounted spend and challenge as appropriate.
- Own the management accounting of Skillz costs ensuring that accruals / prepayments / capitalisation / creation of provisions are in line with accounting policy / IFRS. Own the month end cycle for Skillz liasing with the Share services team to ensure month end deadlines are met.
- Review Skillz balance sheets and provide all necessary documentation / evidence to ensure costs are properly substantiated and fully reconciled. Provide support to auditors as part of Half year, interims and year end audit cycles.
- Be responsible for headcount and FTE reporting across Skillz working with HR to ensure there is an agreed and accurate data set.
- Develop KPIs and Dashboards to track key metrics on Skillz costs
- Work with the Ops Business partner to report on Capex spend ensure accurate reporting of spend
**Your**
**experience**
**- Strong in building effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels with a wide range of people including regulators, legal advisors, and senior management
- Financial modelling, scenario planning skills
- Entrepreneurially minded, attention to detail and takes an innovative approach to problem solving
- High attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
- Excellent analytical and quantitative skills
- Team player and good communication skills
- Fluency in English a must
