As the Global Inventory Manager are responsible for the global Inventory processes. The Inventory Manager researches, analyzes, recommends and implements improvements to the organization’s business processes related to Inventory in order to improve the overall organization’s performance and to facilitate growth. You will develop road maps, align on and drive project plans and communicate changes. You own the Inventory playbook for the division and continue to develop it. You align corporate direction to execution in the different sites. You work together with Finance to develop the target setting for each site and ensure successful execution. You oversee work of the inventory control leads in all factories and are accountable for successfully meeting the inventory objectives.
**The position**
The Inventory Manager is a professional in Inventory Management, someone who has affiliation with continuous improvement, creating structure and getting things done. The position reports to the Sr. Manager Global Planning within the Operations Strategy Deployment department of the MSD division. You will be part of a strong passionate team with the target to drive scalability of our Supply Chain processes to enable growth. You will work closely together with Site Inventory Control Leads, Finance, Business Process Experts (Materials Management, Planning and Order Fulfillment), the S&OP Manager, different Supply Chain teams, Procurement, IT and Service globally.
**What will you do?**
- Own global inventory management performance standards, policies, dashboards, and process improvements. Advance Inventory Management by developing, driving and owning the Inventory (improvement) roadmap and work with all stakeholders in accomplishing this. The initial focus will be to create a global Inventory Entitlement structure in close cooperation with Finance.
- Drive (global) process improvements, standardization and governance of Inventory Control processes across sites. Own and lead global projects, participate in and provide support for other projects and programs related to Inventory Control
- Develop and own standards by which to measure the success of Inventory Control. Create and own an insights dashboard for inventory monitoring and control.
- Drive a healthy inventory entitlement structure, by setting & owning targets and driving stock depletion plans.
- Lead the inventory council, collaborate with all Inventory Control Leads in accomplishing inventory targets. Support and coach where needed
- Report out to leadership during monthly business reviews
- Design and develop training programs and templates. Develop & own the MSD Inventory playbook
- Actively seek external input to get outstanding ways of working from other companies
- Develop and cultivate close relationships with Finance, Logistics, Procurement, Service and IT partners to support, collaborate and implement the various improvements

**Education**
- Bachelor’s / Master’s degree (Business / Supply Chain) or a combination of education and experience that demonstrates the required skills
- Preferably Project and Change Management trained and/or certified.
**Experience**
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the field of Supply Chain/Operations preferably in a high mix / low volume environment
- 5+ years experience in Inventory Management from Finance or Supply Chain perspective
- Excellent knowledge of inventory control procedures
- Qualifications appropriate for seniority
- Ability to successfully lead cross-site and multi-functional improvement projects from discovery to completion.
- Change management experience
**Knowledge, Skills, Abilities**
- Excellent understanding of ERP-systems, preferably QAD
- Outstanding interpersonal communication and presentation skills, including communication with multiple levels of management in excellent English
- Ability to lead complex projects with a high attention to detail
