Financial Controller

Job Description
- Supervising the finance department
- Monitoring and reviewing financial performance and reporting all issues directly to the local management team
- Ensuring compliance with CCs accounting policies and procedures, including processes involving clients funds
- Ensuring that the office is meeting global requirements in its weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reporting
- Supporting and advising local partners and department heads on all financial matters (regular and ad hoc)
- Supervising the local accounting operation as a whole, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, cashiers, client funds, the general ledger and balance sheet reconciliation
- Driving the annual budgeting process and the bi-annual re-forecasting process
- Supervising working capital operations (billing and collection) and cash flow management including regular bank reconciliation in accordance with global requirements
- Co-ordinating internal and external audits including the implementation of audit recommendations
- Preparing annual financial statements
- Supporting department heads in setting and controlling their respective budgets
- Managing tax matters including filing all statutory tax returns and sending all requested tax details to the Global Tax team
- Managing the relationship with the Global Shared Services Centre in Delhi, optimizing the use of the service and monitoring performance and reviewing work completed by the GSSC
- Providing training to lawyers and secretaries on financial matters, as necessary
- Establishing, reviewing and updating office policies e.g. billing, credit control and client clearance processes
- Managing relationships with local banks and credit card providers
**Qualifications**:
- Detailed knowledge of Czech accounting principles
- In-depth knowledge of IFRS
- At least 2-3 years of managerial experience
- Background in financial analysis, reporting or consolidation is preferable
- Previous experience with the budgeting process
- Knowledge of GPMS and/or ABRA an advantage
- Excellent command of written and spoken English
- Proficiency in MS Excel
- A proactive working attitudes
- A team player with a strong work ethic
- Strong sense of responsibility
- Ability to execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
