Financial Controller Oslavany

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Financial Controller to join our finance team, reporting directly to the financial director. The successful candidate will play a key role in budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and cost control, while ensuring compliance with US GAAP standards. The role is also closely involved in plant operations and business decision support.

• Prepare and maintain annual budgets and forecasts, compare with actual performance, and provide insightful variance analysis.
• Develop, implement, and continuously improve costing models, including standard costing and variance analysis.
• Oversee inventory accounting, including sub-ledger reconciliation, physical inventory accuracy, and evaluation of material movements and cost flows.
• Support business case development and evaluate financial impact of investment proposals and operational changes.
• Participate in and support internal and external financial audits, ensuring timely and accurate documentation in accordance with US GAAP.
• Prepare regular and ad hoc financial reports and performance analysis to support strategic and operational decision-making.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive plant-level business initiatives and improve financial visibility.
• Identify and promote cost optimization opportunities, supporting or leading initiatives to improve financial efficiency and productivity.

• Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
• 3+ years of relevant experience in financial controlling, ideally in a manufacturing or automotive environment.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and good understanding of cost accounting principles.
• Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and business insight.
• Strong user knowledge of MS Office, advanced skills in Excel are a must.
• Excellent spoken and written Czech language skills, good level of business English (minimum B2).
• Strong communication and collaboration skills; ability to work both independently and within a team.
