  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • Strong risk and control background and work experience, preferably in a leading accounting firm or financial services sector.
  • Experience in managing, overseeing, and applying controls across a Finance function, including those underpinning NFR and operational risk management frameworks.
  • Experience of designing and implementing new processes and controls to mitigate non-financial risks, including evaluating processes and controls over financial reporting and operational processes.
  • Experience of performing risk assessments throughout the project lifecycle, including NFR assessments, and the ability to present to Risk Stewards to seek approvals.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Knowledge and experience with change management is highly valued.
  • Good knowledge of Finance systems architecture, strategy delivery, data model, especially Finance Cloud platform.
  • Experience of leading, managing, and developing teams.
  • Proven track record of managing, influencing, and collaborating with Finance and cross-functional teams.
  • Team-working experience in a project environment and a flexible and adaptable working style to work with a large group of stakeholders (all levels of seniority) across multiple geographies.

,[Drive development, review, and agreement of required control changes for the ESG and Sustainable Finance related initiatives that have an impact to Global Finance processes for both external disclosures and internal reporting and monitoring. Elicit control requirements based on to-be system architecture and operating model., Define robust controls in adherence to HSBC control framework, including design of new controls or uplift of existing controls, to ensure a sustainable control environment for various ESG processes within Global Finance. Develop and implement a robust delivery plan and approach for Controls workstream within ESG FCD. Monitor key tasks, delivery milestones and project RAIDs to ensure HSBC Change Framework is adhered to., Perform risk and control assessments on ESG processes at various stages of project delivery. Perform Non-Financial Risk (NFR) assessment on ESG and Sustainable Finance related initiatives managed by ESG FCD team., Contribute to programme testing approach and documents, including gathering controls design and operational effectiveness testing evidence during dry run or parallel run. Provide inputs to the Operating Model & Controls Working Group of ESG Finance Programme to support regular status reporting on Controls workstream. Prepare Control related packs/papers and present to senior stakeholders to seek approvals., Map target state controls to the processes documented in MS Visio and/or ARIS, ensuring HSBC standards are followed. Facilitate the 2LoD Risk Stewards, internal and external auditors review and sign-off of control related deliverables., Lead and manage a team, including coaching and acting as a role model for junior team members., Maintain strong and collaborative working relationships across Finance and other stakeholder groups., Enable transition to BAU, ensuring completeness, governance, and adherence to HSBC Change Framework standards.] Requirements: Degree, Accounting, risk management, Finance Cloud platform
