Engineering Manager for Mechanical Systems and

We have an opportunity for Engineering Manager to join us in Brno, where you will be responsible for leading a team of mainly System and Mechanical Engineers supporting the development at the component or subsystem level on Electromechanical Actuator (EMA) and Environment Control System (ECS) or Life Support System (LSS) in the organization HTS EMEA in close cooperation with other HON global engineering organizations. Your daily duties will be to lead, develop and motivate the Mechanical Systems and Design team. You will also navigate the team through effective escalations and alignment with other programs in the product line. You will work with project and technical leaders to ensure proper staffing is provided to the program. In collaboration with Offering Managers and regional Customer Engineering Liaisons (CELs) you will be expected to drive innovation and productivity projects.

**Key Responsibilities**:
- Development of the COE Global Strategy for Brno team.
- Perform employee hiring and development, talent management, including succession planning and retention activities.
- Implement standards, processes, and tools, design Workload Planning & Execution Oversight.
- Ensure Robust Processes, Cycle Time & Cost Reduction-enabling methods and initiatives - including Agile, Z21 etc.
- Partner with customers, Offering Managers and CELs, drive innovative and entrepreneurship culture.
**Key skills and qualifications**:
- Master’s degree in engineering
- 5+ years of Mechanical Systems development lifecycles, 3+ years of People Management in Technical Team
- Experience with aircraft complex systems development (preferred DAL A / B)
- Track record of improving team performance and work practice through team coaching, partnering with customers, OMs and leading and New Product Introduction (NPI) activities
- Competence to convey subtle or complex messages clearly, as appropriate for the topic and audience
Ability to consistently make timely decisions and balancing systematic analysis with decisiveness, even in the face of complexity
- Ability to navigate critical issues through effective escalations with senior leadership
- Individuals who are self-motivated and able to work with little supervision, who consistently take the initiative to get things done
