About the role
Design Director, Growth, E-commere. Must be located in Czechia or the UK.
The web and E-commerce teams goal are to make it exceptionally easy for people around the world to discover, buy, and use our suite of products and services. As a result, our team is responsible for driving sustainable business growth by increasing acquisition, monetization, conversion, and retention throughout the end-to-end customer funnel. We use experimentation, customer feedback, and data-driven insights to guide our work and optimize the customer experience.
As the E-commerce Design Lead, you will work closely with product, marketing, sales, and retention teams to lead the design direction of all our consumer brands’ web and E-commerce products. Your team will be responsible to focus on conversion rate optimisation (CRO) from a UI/UX perspective, turning users into loyal, paying customers through intuitive and effective design solutions.
What you will be doing:
- Lead a global team of designers to drive key business metrics such as conversions, customer acquisition, and user engagement across our portfolio of brands’ web and E-commerce space.
- Develop and execute A/B or multivariate tests, analyse results, and suggest improvements based on those results.
- Partner with product marketing and sales teams to strategize on how to best define information architecture and tell the right stories to increase user acquisition.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand our customers needs, segment-based behaviours, and potential growth opportunities. Provide data-driven solutions based on those insights.
- Help influence strategic decisions across all corners of our web presence based on experimentation insights and growth data.
- Create, track, and report key performance indicators to leadership, providing insights on the levers of growth.
About you:
- Demonstrated ability to design for monetisation, specialising in strategies that convert free users to paying customers.
- Has 10+ years relevant design experience at a tech, product-driven company, with a focus on E-commerce, growth & experimentation design.
- Strong portfolio showcasing design work, experiments, and growth outcomes.
- Proven record in strategic thinking and decision-making based on data and user insights.
- Extensive experience with A/B testing and conversion rate optimization, and a deep understanding of the principles of UX/UI design.
- Meticulous attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
- Expert understanding of the formal elements of design, not just limited to the web, and including typography, layout, balance, and proportion.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively in a cross-functional environment.
- Experience and knowledge working with AEM a big plus.
