Database administrator (MySQL)

We are a young and dynamically developing company that works on the international IT market. The main spheres of our business are development of gaming engines and platforms, management systems, development of mobile applications as well as different kinds of websites and other platforms. We are currently seeking an experienced, energetic and highly motivated individual to join our team as a Database administrator

Responsibilities:

• Creation and administration of database systems (MySQL, MariaDB)
• Configuring and setting up replication
• Manage database backups, upgrades and tuning
• Analyze trends and work with development teams to develop a long-range plan designed to resolve problems and prevent them from recurrence
• Cooperation in implementing new DB technologies and features in practice

Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
• 2+ years professional experience
• Advanced knowledge of database structure and theory
• Experience with MySQL Administration, MySQL Query optimization 
• Experience with MySQL Server optimization, cluster setting and tuning
• Understanding of code versioning tools
• Experience with Galera Cluster is an advantage
• Knowledge of Russian language is an advantage
• Basic understanding of disaster recovery and database backup procedures
• Familiarity with reporting tools
