Key responsibilities
- You will manage a smaller team of agents who manage mostly ocean shipments for our customers.
- Through your team you need to ensure that the whole shipment life cycle is executed smoothly, monitor agreed service-level agreements and identify root causes if expectations are not met.
- Efficient stakeholder management is part of your daily job.
- Manage and drive adherence to standardised processes and tasks.
- Organise, coach, challenge, develop and take on board all direct reports.
- Provide proactive daily support to the team.
- On the top of that, you will become a bridge between all necessary stakeholders and create a single point of contact approach.
- Job-costing coordination and ownership for correct invoicing and related KPIs.
- Conduct periodic performance sessions with higher management.
Together with your team, you will be responsible for creating tailor-made logistics solutions for our customers, enabling them to outsource their logistics value chain to us.
Your job will be to create truly integrated end-to-end logistics services and transportation solutions that move the world for our customers. This involves owning the customer experience by managing the shipment process and coordinating with the various countries and global logistics teams.
In addition, you will:
- Build customer relationships and be curious about customer business needs and drivers in order to better serve them and identify new business opportunities
- Coordinate with the commercial organisation on customer commitments and forecasts
- Advise (COMPANY NAME) management on potential service failures and trends
- Drive continuous improvement to satisfy customers and ensure we do things better and smarter
- Support the digitisation agenda by positively influencing customers uptake of new e-features
- Support global customers Program Managers and the sales community in growing the business while keeping the required standards of service
- Improve team productivity by constantly looking for areas for improvement and efficiency.
We are looking for
A confident individual who is able to motivate the team members in order to achieve great results for our customers. You possess excellent planning skills, and you have the ability to juggle different tasks at the same time without losing the bigger picture. In addition, you love delivering great customer experience and your well-developed communication skills allow you to tackle any issues with a smile and quickly identify the right solution.
Moreover, you:
- Preferably come with a background in logistics or the forwarding industry
- Have previous experience from a customer-facing role
- Are strong in stakeholder management
- Are a proactive person with a continuous improvement mindset and excellent coaching abilities
- Have experience in leading a team and/or project
- Like spotting ways to optimise existing processes
- Are not afraid of difficult tasks and have high motivation to succeed with the team
- Understand complex work processes which require coordination from multiple parties
- Have exposure to high-pace, multicultural environments. Can function well in a constantly evolving environment
- Speak and write English effortlessly, and you are also fluent in Czech/Slovak or Hungarian
- Have professional PC skills - Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point, SAP is an advantage (but not needed for the job)
