Thales in the Czech Republic employs over 400 people from 45 different nationalities. A total of 15 teams work on projects for government agencies, banking, mobile services and the Internet Of Things (IoT) technology. At the core of our business is the development of software which we configure and embed in a multitude of different devices and form factors. These include many kinds of payment cards, SIM cards, travel passes, secure eBanking devices, authentication tokens, machine identification modules (MIM), and secure ID documents including ePassports, eID and eHealth cards, as well as eDriving licenses. Because of the international environment surrounding us every day, it comes as no surprise that English is our official corporate language.
Who are we?
Thales DIS proposes digital services to financial institutions, retailers and other players in all regions of the world. This includes strong identity verification for enrolling new customers, payment data encryption, and multiple authentication schemes to access the digital banking services. We keep developing the range of software and services to respond to the rapid evolution of the financial services driven by regulatory changes and the arrival of new fintech players.
Part of the Delivery team, our mission is to connect our clients to the Thales cloud solutions and bring the full potential of our services. We are looking for talented engineers to participate in the current growth.
What about the role?
- Connect our customers to the Thales solutions, configure and enable the services following the requirements and best practices.
- Provide technical guidance and participate in troubleshooting sessions
- Lead all the technical tasks of the project including the acceptance test plan review and reporting, tracking product issues resolution with engineering team
- Have an effective communication channels across the teams to share information, enhance team culture and ensure shared ownership
- Maintain an effective communication with Thales partners.
- Contribute to the knowledgebase articles/documentation to capture new learnings for reuse.
What are we looking for?
Technical skills
- Good knowledge and experience working with SSL, certificates, key management, JSON, YAML files, connectivity TLS.
- Experience and good knowledge using Splunk or similar.
- Experience in using AWS: code commit, connect to EC2, notion with micro services
- Experience to run queries on Oracle/MongoDB
- Knowledge in Unix command line
- Knowledge in web services (SOAP/REST).
- Knowledge in area of Python, shell scripting, smart cards, EMV, cryptography, security is a plus
- Knowledge in Apache HTTPD and other web servers (proxy, reverse proxy)
Others
- Good verbal and written communication
- Be a team player, customer oriented, problem-solver with strong analytical skills
Education
- Computer Science or Engineering Degree, or equivalent
- 3+ years’ experience as integration engineer or similar technical role.
- Experience working on banking & payment solutions is a plus
- Be fluent in English
Spanish language is a plus
