**Why This Role Matters**:
Data is at the core of Similarweb. As an Big Data Engineer, youll design and implement high-scale systems to retrieve and analyze internet data, directly influencing our data infrastructure and client insights.
**Your Responsibilities**:
- **Scraping**: Build and maintain large-scale web-scraping operations.
- **Processing**: Develop complex data pipelines to process and enrich raw data.
- **Engineering**: Design and build robust, large-scale systems to support data infrastructure.
**What Youll Do**:
- Develop high-performance, dockerized microservices.
- Collaborate with talented engineers and learn new technologies.- Implement solutions within AWS cloud.
- Monitor and debug data pipelines and services.
**About You**:
- 3+ years in server-side software development (e.g. **C#, Java, Python**).
- Experience with Big Data technologies (Hadoop, Spark, Databricks, Airflow).
- Familiar with cloud environments (e.g. AWS, GCP), Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of web scraping technologies and internet internals? A plus!
- Eager to learn, take on challenges, and work in a team.
