**Meet your team**
Global challenges, such as social inequality, resource depletion and waste, and the growing climate crisis, are triggering increased stakeholder expectations and new regulations and turned sustainability from a “nice-to-have” to a core business imperative.
**Sustainability Control Tower (SCT)**
Our team is responsible for a new SAP cloud offering which provides the Platform and Capabilities to enable holistic and integrated Sustainability Performance Management including:
Performance insights and improvements: Creates actionable insight and initiates projects to drive Sustainability Performance across the organization,
Stakeholder reporting and Communication: Communicate progress to both internal and external stakeholders.
Sustainability Control Tower is developed on top of SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) on Cloud Foundry platform. Backend is using Java 17, Spring and CAP framework and Frontend TypeScript, JavaScript, Fiori and SAPUI5.
**What you bring**
As the Backend Software Developer for Sustainability Control Tower, you will take over responsibility for the following tasks:
- You work together with the other colleagues in your team in an agile process,
- You are eager to achieve engineering excellence for the new SCT cloud offering.
**What you bring**
- Solid development skills in Java or Database development,
- Experience with object-oriented programming, common data structures and algorithms,
- General software engineering knowledge (version control, API design, database design, build automation, testing, code quality ),
- Development skills in JavaScript/TypeScript are plus.
- University degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering, economics (or related field) or equivalent in experience.
