Join our development team, which is changing the way how DHL Supply Chain works – from operations in warehouses to Track & Trace system for our customers. We are looking for a developer, who will contribute to the development and delivery of business-critical web and backend IT solutions.
Within the team, we are using modern product development approaches, with focus on micro-service architecture, reusability, cloud technologies, and most of all, building products that matter and bring value.

You will play a key role in building digital capabilities of DHL Supply Chain by developing optimization algorithms to improve fulfillment and transportation processes. You will be utilizing data from operational systems to identifying insights that will proactively recommend how Supply Chain work more efficiently.

As a Smart Plan backend developer and in the future even full stack developer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the design, managing development, and deployment of an application that is used worldwide for planning warehouse labor resources.
You will provide technical leadership to a team of developers, promoting best practices guaranteeing quality and long-term sustainability.

Your expertise in Java, Spring and ideally Oracle SQL (or equivalent), Openshift and other technologies with a strong willingness to learn JavaScript, Typescript, React coupled with your leadership, problem-solving and communication skills, makes you instrumental in driving product improvements and delivery.

• Proven experience as a Backend Developer or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of languages like Java, Spring, Oracle SQL or similar.
• Knowledge of JavaScript/Typescript, Kotlin, React, JPA and Linux is seen as an advantage.
• Willingness to build stronger knowledge in frontend development and eventually become Full Stack developer for our product.
• Developer’s and CI/CD tools – Jenkins, Git, Cloudbees.
• Ability to work in a team environment and eventually mentor other developers.
You are able to work independently, prioritize and organize your tasks under time and workload pressure. Working in a multinational environment, you can expect cross-region collaboration with teams around the globe, thus being advanced in spoken and written English will be certainly useful.

Gaining more hands-on experience with DevOps has always fascinated me, so I moved to the ITS DSC Solutions team.
