What You Need to Succeed (Required Qualifications)

• Proficiency in scripting and programming languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell, YAML).
• Extensive experience with configuration management tools, particularly Ansible.
• In-depth knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices and tools (e.g., Terraform).
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and practices (e.g., Azure DevOps).
• Understanding of cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Strong understanding of DevOps practices and methodologies.
• Knowledge of security best practices in IT infrastructure.
• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.

 

What Can Give You an Edge (Additional Skills)

• Suggested 3-5 years of experience in IT infrastructure automation.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing issues.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

The Opportunity

The Automation Engineer is responsible for developing and implementing automation solutions to streamline IT operations and improve efficiency across our global infrastructure.

This role is crucial in enhancing MetLifes ability to deliver reliable and scalable IT services. This is an exciting opportunity to work on impactful projects that drive innovation and operational excellence.

You will have the chance to collaborate with a talented team, leverage the latest technologies, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our IT infrastructure.

Success in this role requires strong technical skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

The Automation Engineer is responsible for designing and implementing automation scripts, managing configuration, and ensuring the security and compliance of our systems. 

You’ll collaborate closely with IT, DevOps, and security teams in an environment where every contribution is respected, and every perspective is heard.
