Associate Software Engineer - Testing and Ci
About the job:
The Red Hat Engineering team is seeking a passionate testing and CI services software engineer to join us as an Associate Software Engineer. Youll join the globally distributed Red Hat Enterprise Linux Virtualization team to develop and maintain testing services and Continuous Integration pipelines for software that creates and manages virtual machines. In this role, you will help us maintain our exceptional quality standards by developing and maintaining an automated continuous integration infrastructure and by developing software testing tools. Youll develop improvements to increase automation and enhance software quality, stability, reporting capabilities, and user experience. This position is a great opportunity to work alongside some of the brightest engineers in the open source industry.
What you will do:
- Develop improvements to the Avocado Testing Framework
- Maintain and enhance internal and external continuous integration environments
- Investigate and solve defects
What you will bring:
- Linux-based open source software development experience
- Experience with scripting languages like Python or Bash
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English
**The following are considered a plus**:
- Experience with automated software testing
- Experience with software development tools, specifically Git
- Experience with the Avocado Testing Framework
