Interested in next career move? We are looking for an **Aerodynamics Development Engineer - LV, based in Brno **. The Aerodynamics Engineer is part of the light vehicle (LV) Aerodynamics team and linked to the Wheels and Aerodynamics (W&A) Center of Excellence (COE).
This position requires background in turbomachine aerodynamics and mechanical engineering, either from work experience or from education. This job also necessitates independence and problem-solving skills. These are important in formulating technical plans to tackle intricate aerodynamic and mechanical issues.

**Areas of Responsibility**:
- Design, test, and qualify the upcoming generation of compressor and turbine aerodynamics for incorporation into the LV portfolio. Use cutting-edge analytical tools such as CFD/FEA and experimental (Test Rigs) tools. This is in line with the development plan that you have jointly established with the LV Aerodynamics Manager.
- Close collaboration with the internal engineering customer teams to design robust compressor and turbine stages that will meet the performance, durability, packaging, noise and cost constraints, and be successfully integrated into customer turbocharger product.
- Work in tandem with other W&A organization members to boost innovation. Simultaneously, employ ongoing enhancement to the teams tools and procedures.
**Qualifications / Experience / Attributes**:
- Masters degree or higher in the field of Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in turbomachinery design and optimization (compressor and/or turbine design for performance, life, cost, noise)
- Proficiency with High fidelity CFD turbomachine simulation (Ansys, Numeca)
- Experience in 3D design packages (CATIA, Onshape, Solidworks), programming (Matlab or python), and experimental turbomachinery testing (rig concepts, data analysis and post-processing)
- Knowledge of turbocharger or industrial compressor and expander designs (Aerodynamics and/or mechanical)
- Strong drive to deliver, ability to multitask and to work in multicultural and cross-functional teams, with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Ability to grasp technical issues quickly and relate multiple observations to each other
**Also, good to have**:
- Machine learning experience (DNN, auto-optimization)
- Commercial optimization software experience (Optimus, modeFrontier)
- Testing and analysis skills, including FEA and CFD post-processing analysis tools
