**Advanced Mechanical Engineer***
**Location**: Brno, Czech Republic**
**Responsibilities**:
- Manage Value Engineering/Component Engineering (VE/CE) projects in collaboration with R&D, manufacturing, sourcing, and commercial teams to define project scope, monitor progress, and manage risks for successful completion.
- Prepare test plans to ensure alternative components meet requirements and final product performance specifications.
- Perform component and product level qualification, including providing change descriptions, developing test instructions, and creating user guides.
- Conduct redesign activities of existing products to gain domain knowledge and address obsolescence/shortage issues.
- Design and conduct tests using specific tools like JIRA and JAMA, focusing on design for manufacturing and testability.
- Select components/materials using appropriate tools, build and test prototypes, and follow up on corrective actions.
- Develop test plans and strategies, specify instrumentation, write test procedures, and analyze test results.
**Required Qualifications**:
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in Mechanical Design, Mechanical Engineering, and Component Engineering.
- Knowledge of Value Analysis/Value Engineering principles and techniques.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD design systems, CAD tools, and Simulation Tools.
- Experience in Accelerated Life Testing, vibration testing, and Ingress Protection testing and analysis.
- Excellent written and spoken English, with strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Experience managing projects, with strong project management and communication skills.
**Preferred Qualifications**:
- Master’s degree (preferred but not required).
- Experience in Engineering Testing.
- Familiarity with UL/CSA/CE standards, statistical methods and tools, MS Office.
